ANISSA AIDA...

SPRING SUMMER 2024

SUMMER SYMPHONY

The spring summer 2024 collection “Summer Symphony” brings modern sophistication together with timeless classics. Anissa Meddeb, the designer, invoke the similarities between traditional garments worn in North Africa and in Asia such as caftans and kimonos. Indeed, many guiding threads seem to link them: cuts, geometry, textures and colors offer a common language. The color palette composed of shades of blues and white recall the Mediterranean architecture.

The designer has favored natural materials such as linen and cotton while introducing some man-made fabrics to explore innovative laser cutting textile manipulations. Indeed, this spring summer collection is in line with “Ailes d’Hirondelle” fall winter 23/24 collection. Its inspiration comes from Tunisian architecture and the iconic Tunisian ceramic tiles “Jneh Khotifia”. These geometric tiles, bicolor on the diagonal called “Ailes d’Hirondelle” - meaning Swallow Wings - are representative of Tunisian architectural heritage of the 19th century.

Conscious about the impact the Fashion industry has on the environment ANISSA AIDA… values ethical employment practices during manufacture and collaborations with artisans. The label’s mission is to preserve cultural heritage by re-interpreting local ancestral techniques such as the hand weaving of linen blends called Haïk, artisanally produced in Kairouan area, in Tunisia, as well as the handcrafting of our leather accessory line, in an atelier in Tunis.
